Table and Two Chairs (c. 1946)

₹ 1,200.00

Two chairs face a small table, with a vase of flowers quietly at the center. The scene feels ordinary, yet the emptiness of the chairs and the faded blooms hint at something deeper—a space shaped as much by the moments once shared there as by the objects themselves.

At first glance, the painting presents a quiet household scene: two chairs, a table, and a vase of flowers. Yet together they suggest a space shaped by shared living rather than decoration alone.

The two chairs, different in design, hint at two individuals who once occupied this room. Though now empty, they retain a quiet sense of presence. Between them, the table becomes the place where conversations were shared and everyday life unfolded.

At the center, is a vase with flowers. Their muted tones suggest memories that were once radiant, now softened with time, yet still carrying the strength of the bonds they represent.

Through these ordinary objects, the artist transforms a simple interior into a reflection on shared lives, where the traces of togetherness remain long after those who shared it are gone.
